Prosthodontics (Dentures)
Prosthodontics is a dental specialty that focuses on the restoration and replacement of teeth and other oral structures. Prosthodontists are trained to create artificial teeth, called prosthetics, using a variety of materials such as porcelain, acrylic, and metal. These prosthetics can be used to replace missing teeth, restore damaged teeth, or improve the appearance of the smile. Prosthodontists may also design and fit removable appliances, such as dentures or partial dentures, to help patients who have lost all or many of their natural teeth. In addition to creating and fitting prosthetics, prosthodontists may also perform procedures to improve the function and health of the mouth, such as reconstructive surgery or the placement of dental implants.
These are overdentures which are placed with dental implant support. Overdenture is a dental appliance which is either attached to underlying tooth structure or positioned on top of teeth or on top of implants for stabilization.
Complete dentures are a treatment option to replace teeth necessary for chewing, eating, aesthetics and speech. Dentures are made of resin material and they help in restoring aesthetics and functionality for individuals wearing it.
Removable partial dentures are of different types and are constructed when only few teeth have to be replaced and depending on patient need.
Fixed partial dentures are used to replace missing teeth by taking support from adjacent teeth.
Precision attachment is another method of replacing missing teeth. Visit our clinic to know more about the procedure.
